The Augustusburg cable-railway runs daily between 9.00am and 6.00pm. Every 20 minutes one cable car ascends and one descends. Please note the special departure times coinciding with events in Castle Augustusburg or the leisure centre Rost’s Wiesen.

For those who are not so steady on their feet: The bus route 66 operates on Saturdays, Sundays and on bank holidays and travels to the cable-railway Augustusburg between 9.00am and 5.00pm. The journeys are synchronised to the arriving Erzgebirgbahn trains from Chemnitz.

On working days the Erzgebirgsbahn departs every hour, at weekends every two hours. On Saturdays and Sundays a train travels directly to Chomutov (Komotau) in the Czech Reuplic.
